The Pet and Working Gundog Organisation

The Pet and Working Gundog Organisation, aka PAWGO, offer the discerning dog owner a full range of professionally taught practical training courses that help you to mould your dog into a well-mannered and obedient pet.

Starting with the puppy course, you’ll work your way through the various stages of training, achieving awards in Foundation, Bronze, Silver, Gold and then Platinum.

The PAWGO Companion Dog Training courses will be held in a purpose built all weather training barn, as well as in the outside training areas at Mullenscote Dog Training Centre.

The PAWGO Companion Dog Training courses offer structured group training programmes designed to help you develop your relationship with your dog, which in turn lead to greater levels of obedience and social skills.

PAWGO aims to make both our Companion Dog Training courses and our Gundog Training courses as stress free as possible for dog and handler by incorporating play and injecting a bit of fun into the training.

PAWGO Companion Dog Training Courses at Mullenscote

Course	Brief Description	Dates	Entry Requirement
Puppy	This fun and informal puppy course has been designed specifically for puppies between the ages of 12 and 20 weeks and includes introducing your puppy to the basics of sit, stand, down, come and walk on a loose lead. Socialisation exercises and teaching good puppy manners at home are also included.	NO CURRENT DATES SCHEDULED	Open to all breeds of dog aged between 12 and 20 weeks. All puppies must have completed their vaccination schedule prior to attending
Foundation	Basic course for dogs beginning their education and includes training your dog to sit, stand, down, come and walk on a loose lead. Socialisation and good manners are essential for all dogs regardless of age and both of these will be addressed throughout the course	NO CURRENT DATES SCHEDULED	Course Open to all breeds of gundog including non-pedigree and non-KC registered dogs. Dogs should be capable of remaining focused in a class of multiple dogs, and be non-aggressive.
Bronze	The Bronze course takes the basic training established in Foundation and expands upon it. Socialisation exercises are more challenging for your dog and your dog will be expected to demonstrate good manners.	NO CURRENT DATES SCHEDULED	Open to all breeds of dog at any age. Dogs must be non-aggressive to be able to attend this training course
Silver	The Silver course is for the dog, and the handler, that have completed their basic training and are looking for more challenging things to train. Exercises covered during this six week programme include off lead walking to heel, stopping your dog whilst on the move and takes your recall training to the next level.	NO CURRENT DATES SCHEDULED	A follow on to the Bronze Level course which is open to all breeds of dog at any age. Dogs must be non-aggressive and comfortable in a group setting to be able to attend this training course
Gold	The Gold course is for the dog, and the handler, that have completed their intermediate training and are looking for more challenging things to train. As well as expanding, and making more complex, the exercises taught to date, stopping your dog and control at distance are also included	NO CURRENT DATES SCHEDULED	A follow on to the Silver Level course which is open to all breeds of dog at any age. Dogs must be non-aggressive and comfortable in a group setting to be able to attend this training course
Platinum	The Platinum training course is for the dog owner that wishes to further develop their relationship with their dog. Distraction training is introduced to all previously assessed exercises, taking the level of focus, obedience and control to the next level.	NO CURRENT DATES SCHEDULED
